Spherical Plain Bearings

Spherical Plain Bearings

Spherical plain bearings are radial plain bearings consists of an outer ring and an inner ring
made of bearing steel and with spherical sliding contact surface. These bearing are suitable
for arrangements with heavy radial load at low misalignment and oscillation. Moreover,
spherical plain bearings can carry specific axial loads in both directions.
Most popular sizes of plain bearings are available without seals or sealed on both sides.
Standard sealed bearings can increase the service life of a bearing and save space, while
reducing inventory and assembly costs. Spherical plain bearings GE series fitted on both
sides with the rubber seals (2RS) are very effective, under normal operating conditions, at
keeping, under normal operating conditions, at keeping contaminants away from the sliding
contact surfaces. These seals also effectively retain the grease and therefore are appropriate
for bearings requiring maintenance.
